Comments from participants

Thanks so much for leading last week's TAL [Teaching Arts Luncheon] on trauma-informed pedagogy. I thought it was extraordinarily useful, with a clear framework as well as actionable advice on how to support our students and ourselves.

It was my pleasure to participate in Kelly's course in Trauma Informed Pedagogy offered at Smith College.  I found the series to be informative, thorough, and sensitive to the diversity of the participants.  Kelly has a talent for quickly developing an atmosphere of intimacy and creativity within the group which promotes the sharing of experiences and ideas.  I was moved by an exercise she conducted in the final class designed to establish a place of calm within each of us that I still use today. I would welcome the opportunity to participate in any course she offers in the future.

Thank you for the very skillful and compassionate space that you facilitated. I left feeling relaxed and ready for anything in my next class. I did not expect this, because I was tired coming into the final talk. I was able to attend two of your classes and am so happy to have your support and resources that have built upon my growing skill.
